IP Discussion Pharma MeetUP: Innovative Medicines Producers vs. Generic Producers about the draft law No. 2089

On September 6, 2019, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Increasing Access to Medicines for Citizens” No. 2089. The bill was facing a storm of discussion in the public domain, in particular among representatives of various pharmaceutical companies.

We invite you to an open discussion club organized by Legal Alliance Company with the support of the Association of Pharmaceutical Research and Development (APRaD). We offer you to become a member of the document discussion, collect various points of view and develop a vision of optimal regulation. The topics for discussion are the following:

• "Evergreen patents", Bolar rule: approaches in other countries, relevance in Ukraine.
• Parallel imports, gray imports, counterfeit.
• Potential restrictions on the patenting of new dosage forms, methods, useful models and the like. Prospects for innovations and preparation for them.
• Work on advancing and lobbying the interests of manufacturers.
