The topic that attracted a major interest for pharma market players in summer became even more sensitive that ever. The Prime Minister of Ukraine announced that on November 9 the Government adopted the CMU Resolutions "On Public Regulation of Medicinal Products’ Prices"and "On Approval of the Reimbursement of Medicinal Products".

At the same time, on November 17 the Ministry of Health of Ukrainesubmitted for public consideration the relevant drafts of legal regulations.On November 22 the CMU held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the representatives of pharma companies, central regulatory authorities and non-governmental organizations. Mr. Groysman stated that the implementation of reference pricing system since January 1, 2017, and the reimbursement of medicines for hypertensive disease, diabetes and bronchial asthma treatment since April 1, 2017, has alreadybeen approved and the required expenditures included into the draft of State Budget of Ukraine.Workshop agenda includes the following issues:

• How MOH plans to calculate the reference prices for medicinal products?
• How maximum markups for medicinal products will be regulated?
• What changes will occur for market players?
• How will the mechanism for patients medicines reimbursement work?
• How the state reimbursement will be calculated?
• Expected outcomes and perspectives of the adjustment of public regulation of medicines’ prices.
