Alexander Bondar and Zoia Zamikhovska Held a Final Webinar Regarding Pharma Market in Ukraine for International Audience

On December 21^st, 2016 experts of Legal Alliance Company Alexandеr Bondar, senior associate, and Zoia Zamikhovska, associate, held the annual webinar “Legal Aspects of Doing Pharma Business in Ukraine. Review of 2016” for international audience.

During the event, the experts shared information on general trends in the pharmaceutical market, and also reminded about the key legislative changes that occurred in 2016.

In particular, the lawyers focused the participants’ attention on the changes in the following areas:

• simplification of state registration of a certain category of medicinal products;
• new license terms for carrying out economic activities for the production of medicinal products, wholesale and retail trade in medicinal products and import thereof (except for AFI);
• the concept of health financing reform in Ukraine.

state regulation of prices for medicinal products in the light of adopted Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 862 "On State Regulation of Prices for Medicinal Products" and Resolution No. 863 "On the Introduction of Reimbursement of the Cost of Medicinal Products";

procurement of medicinal products and medical products for the budget funds both through the electronic system of public procurement ProZorro, and with the assistance of specialized international organizations;

competition law: new approaches to understanding the anticompetitive concerted actions and provisions of distribution contracts containing the risks of violation, considering the position of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in Servier and Alcon cases and the Committee’s report on the results of the study of the pharmaceutical market regarding compliance with the requirements to the protection of competition;
