The text of Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine “On Amendments to the List of OTC Medicinal Products Prohibited for Advertising” No. 40 as of January 19th, 2017 which approved a new edition of the list of OTC drugs advertising of which to the end consumer is prohibited in accordance with part 1 of Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine “On Advertising” has been published. The new list contains 265 items.
Let us remind you that the list of OTC drugs, advertising of which is prohibited, is determined by the State Expert Centre in accordance with the criteria provided for by Order of the Ministry of Health No. 422 as of June 6th, 2012 “On Some Issues of Medicinal Products Advertising Prohibition”.
We recommend that you examine the new list to check if it contains medications of your own production and, if necessary, make changes to your marketing strategies.
It should be noted that the order has not yet been published officially and, accordingly, has not become effective.
