On December 27th, 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 1080, which approved the amendments to certain resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine governing the implementation of Available Medicines program.
In particular, two additional INNs were included in the Available Medicines program, namely Losartan in the form of pills for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, respectively, and glibenclamide in the form of pills for the treatment of type II diabetes. The list of INNs and the corresponding dosage forms are approved in Annex to Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 863 dated November 9th, 2016 "On the Introduction of Reimbursement of the Cost of Medicinal Products".
Please note that on its website the Ministry of Health also declares that the number of free medicines in the Available Medicines program in 2018 will increase by at least 10 medicines.
Also, Resolution No. 1080 amended the Procedure for Determining the Amount of Reimbursement of the Cost of Medicinal Products subject to Reimbursement approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 152 dated March 17th, 2017 "On Ensuring Availability of Medicinal Products". In particular, applicants, whose cost of the daily dose of the medicinal product in the Register does not exceed by more than 5% of such value of the daily dose of the medicinal product (with the same INN and the form of issue), which is fully reimbursed in accordance with the Register (without additional payment), within five working days from the date of the publication of the updated Register of the Maximum Wholesale Prices on the official website of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine may re-submit the documents with the changed wholesale price for the pack of the medicinal products to the Ministry of Health. Based on the results of the consideration of the received documents within five working days, the Ministry decides to amend the Register, which is approved by the order of the Ministry. The information on making such changes is made public on the official web-site of the Ministry of Health on the day of publication of the Register.
Resolution No. 1080 came into force on December 31st, 2017.
