On February 24, 2015 the constitutional convention for the formation of the Public Council of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the first meeting of the Public Council were held.
The Public Council of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (hereinafter - the Public Council) is a permanent collegial elected advisory body, established under the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to ensure citizen participation in public affairs, public control over the activities of the Committee, to establish effective interaction with the public, to take into account the public opinion about the formulation and implementation of state policy on the protection of economic competition.

Engaging in the Public Council, AIPM Ukraine plans to continue its work on improving of approaches to advertising of medicinal products for purposes of preventing the spread of information, which misleads foreign manufacturers and other market participants, developing of the control algorithm of the compliance of such advertising with competition legislation, development of criteria for assessing of the degree of the influence on competitive relations by relevant materials, as well as participate in the improvement of legislation on protection of economic competition in general.
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
