On 31.07.2015 changes to Regulation on Territorial Offices of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine came into effect, approved by AMCU Decree from 23.06.2015 № 15-rp, concerning the authorities of its local agencies in terms of current information inquiry.
In order to implement these changes the Chairman of AMCU Yuriy Terentyev issued an Instruction
№ 13-01/609 from 05.08.2015, which obliges to suspend the inquiry of current information that is not directly foreseen by AMCU instructions or by case decisions on legal violations of economic competition defense, coordinated actions, concentration of business entities.
At the same time, AMCU notifies that it has intentions to analyze its own related instructions by the end of this month in order to cancel them in case of absence of urgent need in current information inquiry.
The reason for this is that provision of such information upon AMCU requests constitutes a sufficient burden for business entities, despite being very convenient for monitoring the dynamics of market conditions, designating prices changes that under certain conditions may be related to competition restriction.
