On July 2, 2014 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution "On the stabilization of prices for medicinal products and medical devices".
Accepted resolution reverses the approach to the pricing of medicinal products, medical devices and the order of their declaration. The new procedure provides for reference pricing, expands the list of available documents and the need to obtain a competent authority approval for declared price.
It is expected that the new procedure should come into force on August 1, 2014. Provided that the decision of the CMU has not been published to date, we can expect a difficult period for the participants of pharmaceutical market in the near future.
