On January 1st, 2018, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1009 of December 13th, 2017 entered into force, which amends Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1303 of August 17, 1998 "On Ordering Gratuitous and Preferential Dispensing of Medicines Prescribed by Doctors in the Case of Outpatient Treatment of Individual Population Groups and for Certain Categories of Diseases".
Thus, as a result of the adopted changes, pharmacies have the right to release, free of charge and on preferential terms, medicinal products registered in Ukraine and included in the sectoral health standards, regardless of whether they are included in the National List of Essential Medicines.
We draw your attention to the fact that the list of diseases for the treatment of which patients can receive medicines free of charge and the list of patients in the case of whose outpatient treatment drugs prescribed by doctors are released free of charge or on preferential terms, are approved in the annexes to Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1303 dated August 17th, 1998.
