In September Dmytro Aleshko, partner with Legal Alliance Company, held a series of meetings with international experts, representatives of USAID, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and profile associations. The meetings discussed strategic issues of the National List of Essential Medicines introduction. Bertolan Nemets, the representative of the SYRION Institute and an international expert on pharmacoeconomics, shared his experience of working with European countries with his Ukrainian counterparts.
Dmytro Aleshko noted "Ukraine is going through a difficult process of optimizing the system of providing the population with medicines. The decisions made by Ukraine affect the interests of a large number of patients and require careful preparation. Foreign experience will allow for avoiding mistakes when making decisions and reaching the ultimate goals – make more Ukrainians get high-quality medicines".
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
