Partner of Legal Alliance Company Dmytro Aleshko spoke as an expert at the annual Pharmacy Summit which took place on December 1st of this year.
Initiated by the Pharmacy Association of Ukraine (PAU), Summit calls together at one venue the representatives of the pharmaceutical business and regulatory sector. Participants sum up the expiring year, exchange views and forecasts regarding trends of the coming year.
This year Mr. Aleshko`s report was devoted to state regulation of prices for medicinal products, in particular, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 862"On state regulation of prices for medicines" (comes into effect as of January 1, 2017) and № 863 "On the introduction of reimbursement of the cost of medicines" (comes into effect as of April 1, 2017).
Dmytro Aleshko emphasized: "Ukraine stands at the threshold of major changes in the sphere of regulation of prices for medicines. This process is allied to the adoption of the new National List of Essential Medicines. The actors of the pharmaceutical market await the Ministry of Healthcare to adopt relevant orders in order to clear a question as to which medicines will be regulated and how the margins will be formed."
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
