The Draft Law No. 2492 dated 31 March 2015 “On Amendment of Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine In Connection With the Adoption of the Law of Ukraine “On the National Anti-Corruption Bureau” was passed at first reading.
The Draft Law provides for imposition of a ban on membership in political parties for the employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (hereinafter – NAB) of Ukraine as well as suggests referring the NAB of Ukraine to the scope of governmental bodies involved incombating organized crime and also to the scope of bodies responsible for the national security.
Upon approval, the law will come into force on the next day following its publication.
