The 5th Anniversary Forum on Health Technology Assessment "The Role of Health Technology Assessment in the Holistic Ecosystem of Access to Clinically Effective and Economically Feasible Health Technologies" was recently held. Every year, the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Ukraine organizes the Forum with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) project "Safe, Affordable and Effective Medicines for Ukrainians" (SAFEMed) together with the SE "State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" (DEC). The publication highlights the progress of health technology assessment (HTA) in Ukraine, improvement of its processes, creation of an independent HTA agency, training of HTA specialists, etc.
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
