Growing Together: New Appointments at LA Law Firm

We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our team's growth and celebrate the well-deserved career advancements of our colleagues!

Vitalii Savchuk has been appointed Senior Partner at LA Law Firm. Over the years, Vitalii has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, deep expertise, and a knack for delivering innovative solutions. He advises international companies on complex matters – ranging from operational risk audits and tax structuring to cross-border litigation and multi-million-dollar investment projects. Vitalii is also the co-author of two landmark 2025 laws: the Bolar exemption and the wartime abolition of "evergreen" patents.

We are also proud to announce key associate promotions:

Oleksandr Tsurkan – Senior Associate. Oleksandr joined the team in February 2022 and has proven to be a key specialist in complex projects across IP, Tax, Corporate Law, and Dispute Resolution:

• Intellectual Property: Co-drafted key legislative initiatives, including the Bolar exemption. Recognised internationally as an IP Stars Rising Star 2026.
• Corporate Law: Advises on holding structures, shareholder agreements, and investments, particularly in the pharmaceutical and defence sectors.
• Tax Law: Handles cross-border structuring, transfer pricing, non-resident transactions, and tax audits for national and international clients.
• Dispute Resolution: Successfully represents clients in high-stakes tax, commercial, and regulatory disputes at all court levels, including the Supreme Court.

Mykhailo Demianov – Associate. Mykhailo joined the firm in 2023. He specialises in commercial antitrust compliance, vertical restraints, and abuse of dominance risk mitigation, advising international and Ukrainian companies on aligning distribution models, pricing strategies, and commercial policies with competition law:

• Vertical Restraints & Compliance: Restructures client distribution models to comply with Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) guidelines, preserving vital commercial partnerships while eliminating regulatory risks.
• AMCU Regulatory Alignment: Advises global companies on integrating recent regulatory updates and AMCU recommendations into commercial agreements.
• Competition & Antitrust Defence: Participates in resolving AMCU requests and inquiries regarding pricing policies and designs internal compliance systems to mitigate risks of abuse of dominance and anti-competitive concerted practices.

Anastasiia Koval – Junior Associate. Anastasiia joined the firm in 2026 and has already contributed to numerous projects within the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Law, Parapharmaceuticals, Regulatory, and Compliance practices:

• Cosmetic Safety Assessment: Advises market operators on ensuring compliance with the Technical Regulation on Cosmetic Products, including assisting in the preparation of Cosmetic Product Safety Reports.
• Comprehensive Labeling Audit: Participates in auditing cosmetic product labeling for compliance with Technical Regulations and other applicable legal frameworks, including the Laws of Ukraine "On Protection of Consumer Rights" and "On Protection Against Unfair Competition."
• Cosmetic Product Notification: Assists in guiding cosmetic products through the electronic notification system.
• Medical Practice Licensing: Participates in preparing and submitting document packages required for obtaining medical practice licenses, expanding license scopes, and filing notices of operational changes.
• Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Contributes to drafting mandatory labeling information for dietary supplements and prepares documentation for the initial placement on the market of infant food, dietary supplements, foods for special medical purposes, and weight control products.
