May 25 this year experts of the pharmaceutical regulatory practice of Legal Alliance Company, partner Dmytro Aleshko and senior associate Natalia Spivak held a seminar for doctors on the topic "10 facts about the legality of medicines turnover in Ukraine every doctor should know."
The main issues touched upon at the seminar were the basic requirements for medicines authorized for trafficking in Ukraine, the problem of getting drugs banned to the market in Ukraine and the legal responsibility of HCPs in this area.
During the presentation, the speakers answered frequently asked questions about the rules for prescribing prescriptions, in particular for unregistered medicines, as well as legal liability for non-fulfillment or improper performance of their professional duties by the medical worker.
"If the patient himself has brought or bought somewhere an unregistered medicinal product, the decision of prescribing him such a drug in the department is taken by the therapist at his own risk. Even if the drug was legally imported to Ukraine, it is not known whether the requirements for its temperature regime were met. In the event of health damage or patient’s death due to the quality of the drug, there is a risk of involving the medical specialist in legal liability," noted Natalia Spivak.
We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our team's growth and celebrate the well-deserved career advancements of our colleagues.
