On January 24th, 2016 a seminar "Key Trends in the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights of Pharmaceutical Companies" took place in Kyiv. During the seminar leading experts of intellectual property department of Legal Alliance Company summarized and defined trends in this area.
In 2016-2017, the number of intellectual property cases increased extremely. It should be noted that the cases also became more diverse. Domain disputes and patent trolling became common terms for lawyers, as they have to be dealt with more often. Besides, the issue of clients’ trademark and technologies protection arises more frequently as well.
Illya Kostin, patent attorney and partner, and Vitalii Savchuk, senior associate of Legal Alliance Company, told about these issues and the importance of protection of corporate intellectual property.
