On May 19 2015 Legal Alliance Company and ANCOR holding have organized the joint seminar on legal trends in labor relations concerning the most important labor issues for market. The event was aimed to HR specialists, accountant and legal counsels of leading Ukrainian companies.
Within the seminar the lawyers of labor practice at Legal Alliance Company have shared their experience of participation at problematic dismissals at big companies and told about court practice concerning illegal dismissals, reinstatement and charge of average earnings for forced absenteeism etc.
The moderator of the event was Partner at Legal Alliance Illya Kostin.
The event was opened by the report on problematic dismissals presented by Associate at Legal Alliance Iryna Shlyakhovska. Ms. Shlyakhovska explained the issues concerning argumentation of dismissal of employee working bad or lost, dismissal for disciplinary infraction, after probation period, during maternity leave, disease, childcare and other situations, also information about categories of employees, which dismissal is the most risky, the kind and risks of such dismissals, the order of calculation of separation pay and other additional compensations, and about other important labor issues for HR specialist.
The representatives of ANCOR holding have shared the experience concerning regulation of labor relations with employees mobilized. HR record manager Maryana Krasnoshapka made the report about the Ministry of Social Policy position on dismissal of employees mobilized in the case of the termination of term labor agreement and demobilization. Maryana told about employers’ actions in the case of employees’ return after mobilization.
The last report concerning the ATO syndrome in business was presented by business strategic counsel Iryna Nikitina.
Iryna talked about inner problems in staff team due to the mix of crisis and stress in present time, about rueful feelings for future and unconsciously psychological traumatizing.
“The normalization of psychological climate in the team as the entire body is essential for successful passing economic and political challenges by business. Current changes influence working capacity of the collective, the level of vital energy and the climate in the company.” – Ms. Nikitina noted. She also said, “Such changes influence the efficiency of decisions made by ourselves and make these decisions more value in the crisis time. The level of passing of fury, despair, pang of guilt and other feelings connected with psychological traumatizing depends on psychological training and the skill to control feelings. The development of new competences – psychological steadiness and consciousness on inner and external processes – is the main task for HR specialists. The final target is the correction of corporate culture in compliance with new conditions and existing company’s values” – Ms. Nikitina summarized.
