On March 17, 2015 in the Premier Palace Hotel the seminar “Marketing activities for HCPs: possibilities and approaches” was held. It was organized by Legal Alliance Company and Brandberg Agency.
The participants of the event were heads of pharmaceutical companies, financial directors, marketing directors, compliance officers, heads of legal departments and directors of other departments.
Partner of Legal Alliance Company Illia Kostin made opening speech and noticed that the majority of marketing activities of pharmaceutical companies is connected with direct interaction with medical specialists. Such interaction includes follow issues: engaging of medical specialist to clinical trials, preparing of publications, holding of lectures, seminars, daily communication by medical representatives. In addition, within such communication the intent to improve the level of professional knowledge and the financial ability of pharmaceutical companies (on the one hand) is an accord with the desire of medical specialists to participate in some conference / congress / symposium in Ukraine or abroad (on the other hand).
“In such situations there are always questions about correct documenting of financial doctor’s participation in event without violating of legislation (question for lawyers) and about decision optimization of connected organizational issues (question for technical partners). For optimization of such processes and satisfaction of needs, Legal Alliance Company (Counsel) and Brandberg Company (service provider) decided to share with you our experience and joint possibilities”, - Mr. Kostin summarized.
Due to economic situation in the state and instability of currency rate, pharmaceutical companies send doctors on foreign event less, but more selectively. Usually participants are “opinion leader”, who receive more attention from colleagues and potentially from control authorities. Both doctors and pharmaceutical companies should be extremely intent to keep legal prohibitions and restrictions, including anticorruption sphere.
The question on interactive with medical specialists in terms of legal requirement was covered by Senior Associate of Legal Alliance Company Lidiya Sangarovskaya-Gurlach and in terms of maximum organization of the process itself – by General Manager of Brandberg Marina Ignatusha.
The experts discussed issues of HCPs participations in international congresses, monoconferences, roundtables, seminars and other educational events both in Ukraine and abroad. .
