On 28th of April, 2014 Legal Alliance Company held a seminar on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On conducting state purchases” in Kyiv.
On 10th of April, 2014 information regarding results of hearings and voting for Draft Law of Ukraine “On conducting state purchases” (new version) № 4587 of March 27th, 2014 appeared on the web-portal of Verhovna Rada of Ukraine. The Law was adopted.
Importance of that adoption of the Law is also confirmed by the statement of Prime-minister of Ukraine A.Yatsenyuk regarding prohibition to allocate funds for purchases before the adoption of the mentioned Law.
The Law is treated as the one that aims at avoiding corruption and contains various amendments comparing with the Law of Ukraine “On conducting state purchases” № 2289-VI of June 1, 2010.
Based on provisions of the adopted Law Legal Alliance Company held the seminar, which embraces representatives of pharmaceutical business and media.
Within the seminar participants discussed and analyzed the amendments, made to the new version of the Law, in particular: exceeding scope of the Law, amendments aimed at transparency of the state purchases, amendments regarding simplifying of disclosure of relevant information, reducing the period of tenders, the elimination of discriminatory requirement for "own production facilities and / or service centers in the territory of Ukraine.
Within the seminar amendments made to the new edition of the Law were analyzed and discussed. The speakers of the seminar were Natalia Lavrenova, senior lawyer, Oleksandr Bondar, associate, and Dmytro Aleshko, partner of LC “Legal Alliance”.
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
