Many medicinal products have been added to the list of prohibited for advertising

On July 25, 2014 order of MOH of Ukraine of June 17, 2014 No. 403 “On Amending List of OTC Medicinal Products that are Prohibited for Advertising” has entered into force.

A new version of the list of OTC medicinal products that are prohibited for advertising (hereinafter - the List) has been approved by this order. It should be noted that quite a number of medicinal products, i.e. about 28 positions, were excluded from the List. The latter is mainly due to expiry of the registration certificates of the individual medicines or the reregistration of medicinal products.

Among the excluded medicinal products, the validity of the registration dossier of which has been expired, are the following:

1. «5ИРЧАТКА», produced in the form of tablets in blisters # 10 by Ukrainian consortium "Ecosorb";
2. «БИСАКОДИЛ®», produced in the form of 10 mg rectal suppositories # 10 by company Farmaprim SRL, Moldova;
3. «ВЕРОНА», produced in the form of capsules # 20, # 60 by company Herbion Pakistan Privet Limited, Pakistan;
4. ДОЛАРЕН®СУСПЕНЗИЯ», produced in the form of 100 ml suppositories for oral administration in bottles by company Nabros Pharma Pvt. Ltd., India;
5. «ЙОХИМБЕКС-ГАРМОНИЯ», produced in the form of capsules in blisters # 20 (10х2) in batch by company PJSC SIC «Borshchahivskiy CPP»;
6. «Каффетин®», produced in the form of tablets # 6, # 10, # 12 in a strip in the pack by company Alkaloid AD Skopje;
7. «КОДЕСАН», produced in the form of tablets # 10 by Double liability company "INTERHIM", Odessa;
8. «КОДЕСАН® ИС», produced in the form of tablets # 10 by company JSC "Joint Ukrainian-Belgian chemical company "InterHim", Odessa;
9. «КОДЕСАН® ИС», produced in the form of tablets in blisters # 10 by Double liability company "INTERHIM", Odessa;

16. «НИТРОГЛИЦЕРИН», produced in the form of 0,5 mg sublingual tablets # 40 LLC SIC “Microkhim”, Rubizhne;
17. «ПЕНТАЛГИН», produced in the form of tablets in blisters # 10 in batch by Double liability company "INTERHIM", Odessa;

The following medicinal products were excluded from the List for other reasons:

1. «АГИОЛАКС®», produced in the form of 100 g, 250 g granules in containers by company MADAUS GmbH, Germany;
2. «ВИТРУМ® ЕНЕРДЖИ», produced in the form of coated tablets # 10 in blisters, # 30, # 60 in vials by company Unipharm, Inc., USA;
3. «ТРИБЕСТАН», produced in the form of 250 mg coated tablets # 60 (10х6) in blisters by company JSC "Sopharma" / JSC "Sopharma", Bulgaria.

A lot of new positions were also included into the List, namely:
