The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, by its Decree of June 24, 2019 No. 1923/5, amended the Procedure for the Performance of Notarial Acts by Notaries of Ukraine and supported the initiative of the President of Ukraine to deregulate the activities of private notaries. We reported this earlier in the news Presidential Decree on the Notarial Acts. That made it possible to remove restrictions on the minimal cost of private notaries’ services.
This means that if earlier the cost of private notaries’ services could not be lower than the state duty rates charged by public notaries for similar notarial acts, then from the day of entry into force of the above Decree, private notaries determine the cost of their services by an agreement with a client.
