On February 25, 2015, Associate Natalia Modlenko participated in the conference "The peculiarities of import medicinal products and medical devices into Ukraine", organized by the Ukrainian pharmaceutical institute of quality UFIIA.
During the conference, the following issues were discussed: the general issues of import and placing of pharmaceutical products, including in customs warehouses; peculiarities of the importation of unregistered medicinal products and medical devices for conducting clinical trials, the state registration; specifics of customs clearance of substances and products «in bulk».
The speakers (including representatives of public authorities) discussed the theme of classification of certain types of medicinal products and medical devices, the nuances of determining the customs value of imported medicinal products and medical products, as well as the issue of packaging, labeling and repackaging during importing.
The certain reports were devoted to the specifics of the supply of medicinal products and medical devices into the territory of Crimea and the ATO. The question on influence of establishment of additional import duty on Ukrainian pharmaceutical sector required special attention from the participants.
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
