On May 30th, 2017 Kyiv hosted the annual conference "Healthcare Institutions and Manufacturers of Medicinal Products. Effective Cooperation in the Process of Providing the Population of Ukraine with Medicinal Products".
Legal Alliance Company was represented by Natalia Spivak, associate at Pharmaceutical Regulatory and Policy Making. Ms Spivak spoke about international experience of operation of healthcare institutions’ international pharmacotherapeutic commissions. The report highlighted problems of irrational use of medicinal products, as well as functions and organizational features of pharmacotherapeutic commissions’ operation in the world.
During her speech, Natalia Spivak drew attention of conference participants to the need for compliance with anti-corruption legislation at formation of the commissions and their further operation, noting: "Filling a declaration on conflict of interest became a common practice in developed countries long ago. Active implementation of this experience in pharma and medical sphere has begun in Ukraine as well".
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
