Oleksii Bezhevets, partner with Legal Alliance Company, attended West-Ukrainian legal forum of Ukrainian Bar Association, held on June 13, 2014 in Lviv.
160 participants were present at the event this year, and discussed such issues as: oversight over government, fighting corruption, protection of attorneys' rights, main changes and tendencies in legal sphere, and certain aspects of legal practice.
In the session devoted to development of legal business in regions partners of well-known in Ukraine legal companies shared their success stories of how to build legal practice, manage business and individual career.
Discussions of the forum were also devoted to main legislative innovations of recent months, perspectives and potential amendments triggered by Association with EU, occupation of Crimea and respective legal consequences, as well as effective ways to protect infringed rights in European Court of Human Rights.
Mr. Oleksii Bezhevets admitted that “Participation in Lviv forum is a great opportunity to enhance own professionalism and to listen to presentations of leading attorneys of Ukraine, furthermore this event provides with opportunity to communicate with colleagues and establish new business contacts”.
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
