On December 4 this year, Kyiv hosted the II International Forum for promotion of legal services, which was attended by over 200 representatives of the legal community in Ukraine and abroad.
Themes of the event included the tendencies of development and promotion of legal business, strategies for attracting and retaining customers, internal communications and HR instruments, peculiarities of external communications.
Partner of Legal Alliance Company Olexii Bezhevets was the speaker in the fourth session of the Forum, dedicated to investing in marketing and the recognition of a law firm in the market. In his report, Mr. Bezhevets first shared the unique for the Ukrainian market experience of transition of a law firm to smart office model, consisting in the abandonment of the conservative format of “hard office” with the established schedule and the obligatory presence in the workplace.
According to the speaker, “the main idea of this concept is focusing on results rather than the process. We had been fully prepared before we transferred the company to such model. For almost a year we have been adapting the IT-component to provide uninterrupted remote access for the employees, an XRM-system for accurate recording of the work done by lawyers, structured data storage and contact details, we have adopted a set of rules governing remote work, and of course, we had prepared our staff in advance for such step. Today I can state that, despite the difficulties of the transition period, we made the right decision. The smart office as a way of adapting to difficult business climate in the country has fully met our expectations.”
Oleksii Bezhevets also said that today the smart office enabled the Company to make better use of office space, reduce the rent, build effective work of the staff, and to increase the attractiveness of the company as an employer, reducing staff turnover to zero rate.
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
