Oleksii Bezhevets, partner at Legal Alliance Company, being a member of the international expert team, has developed and personally held 17 workshops on the topic "Fundamental Principles of Politics and Legislation on Development of Green Economy". The events took place in 2019 and were organized with the support of the UN within the framework of regional conferences on development of green economy in Asia Pacific, Africa, South America, MENA and CIS countries. The workshops were attended by hundreds of representatives from all over the world who received the corresponding certificates.
Based on deep legal research of the issue within his competence, Mr. Bezhevets spoke about main regulatory barriers for transfer to green economy and presented review of key problems, various ways of solution and possible interrelations between them, which should be taken into account while designing and implementation of political and legal tools for transfer to green economy model.The 1.5 hour workshop is based on the world experience and implementation of various legal and political tools in more than 50 countries.
"The world is actively adapting to new challenges related to the climate change. However, dynamics of climate changes demonstrate that we are still behind - natural disasters caused by the climatchange are becoming more in scale. Only decisive global changes in approaches to production and consumption, to the economy of entire industries can influence the things. Ukrainian government should implement the best world experience in this area. Green economy tools provide significant advantages for competition at the World market", stressed Oleksii Bezhevets.
The workshops have been developed for managers and decision makers of domestic state authorities, international organizations, private entities, as well as representatives of the general public and mass media. The workshops aim at convening to the participants fundamental understanding of the main principles, dimensions and tendencies in the process of transition to the green economy at national, regional and global levels, as well as provide tools and methods of proactive activities in the context of implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Program till 2030.
