Yesterday, on December 12, the conference "Business that changes the country: the results of the CSR cases competition - 2016", organized by the Centre "Development of corporate social responsibility" supported by EY, took place. The conference was held within the framework of the National CSR Case Competition.
In the course of a separate session of the event, "Law firms and Pro Bono", the representatives of the legal market had the opportunity to present their own projects in this area, which were assessed on a competitive basis by the Commission of Pro Bono Awards-2016 in three categories: "Best CSR Project," "Winner of Pro Bono Awards-2016 (social contribution)" and "Winner of Pro Bono Awards-2016 (number of hours). "
Upon the results of the case study by international experts on corporate social responsibility, the victory in the category "Best CSR Project" was gained by Legal Alliance Company.
In the presentation, the partners Oleksii Bezhevets and Illya Kostin told about the social responsibility activities of the company over the past year. In particular, they presented activities of the Kolo Foundation, established by the Company, under the auspices of which more than two million hryvnia was collected from philanthropists and forwarded for the support of the defenders of the fatherland. Besides, more than 40 direct deliveries of humanitarian and technical aid were sent to the military units, which are located directly on the front line.
The partners also told about the implementation of the project "Legal assistance to ATO participants", the reason for the initiation of which was the need for legal support and provision of answers to the questions of mobilized and demobilized soldiers.
At the moment, the partners and associates of Legal Alliance Company support social movement aimed at protecting the environment, in particular on the fight against illegal logging. In the course of the project the monitoring (by quadcopter) of the logging is carried out, as well as filing petitions and complaints, meeting with officials and constant interaction with the public sector.
