On July 4th, 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 547 “On Amendments to Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 333 as of March 25th, 2009”, which provides for further steps to implement public procurement of drugs included in the National List of Medicines. In particular:
1) the date from which healthcare institutions and facilities funded from state and local budgets should begin the procurement of medicines registered in Ukraine included in the National List should be postponed till September 1st, 2017;
2) regulation on the obligation of customers to supply registered medicines that are included in the National List to be introduced on January 1st, 2018;
3) completion of procurement of medicinal products registered in Ukraine and entered in the State Register of Medicines launched by customers before September 1st, 2017 in accordance with the procedure and requirements in effect before this date. In other words, during this period any drugs registered in Ukraine can be procured.
Let us remind you that Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1071 as of September 5th, 1996 “On the Procedure for Procurement of Medicines by Public Healthcare Institutions Financed from the Budget” under which public procurement took place by now lost its validity on July 1st, 2017.
