On February 4th, 2017 Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On Amending Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 862 as of November 9th, 2016" No. 38 as of February 1st, 2017 published on the government web portal came into force. The document provides for the postponement till April 1st of Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On State Regulation of Prices for Medicinal Products" No. 862 on introduction of state regulation of ceiling prices for medicinal products used for treatment of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes of type II and bronchial asthma, which cost is subject to refund in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 863 as of November 9th, 2016 (21 INPN in total).
Also, the period during which it is permitted to realize the remnants of medicinal products, which were delivered to pharmacies at ex-factory prices exceeding their ceiling level, is extended by April 1st, 2017.
It is worth noting that the pharmaceutical community reacted quite sharply to the new rules of state regulation of prices for 21 INPN. In particular, some importers have suspended importation of such medicinal products into the territory of Ukraine at all.
At the moment, the Ministry of Health is developing a number of amendments to the mentioned resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, the adoption of which is expected in the near future.
