On May 24, 2023, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine published for public discussion the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Procedure for State Quality Control of Medicinal Products Imported into Ukraine."
The project proposes to exclude the rule that, during the period of martial law, allows the issuance of a conclusion on the quality of the imported medicinal product (except for active pharmaceutical ingredients (substances)) without the mandatory document confirming the compliance of the conditions for the production of medicines with the requirements for the production of medicines in Ukraine.
The project was developed with the aim of preventing the circulation of falsified and low-quality medicines on the territory of Ukraine.
After the adoption of the resolution by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the GMP certificate for medicines upon their importation into the customs territory of Ukraine will become mandatory again.
