On October 19th, 2018 Lviv Criminal Law Forum was held in Lviv for the first time. The event was attended by more than 150 participants.
At separate sessions participants discussed the most acute and topical issue in criminal law and process. In particular, the issue of recognizing evidence inadmissible in criminal proceedings, examination as a proof in criminal proceedings, extension of pre-trial investigation term and development of defence strategy in criminal proceedings in combination with other types of litigation were discussed.
Taras Bezpalyy, counsel at Legal Alliance Company, spoke at the session “Tactical Approaches of an Advocate which Can Be Used for Client Defence” and considered the procedure for serving notice of suspicion in criminal proceedings. Also, the speaker paid attention to possibility of cancelling the notice of suspicion and delivery of judgements of acquittal based on non-compliance with the procedure for serving the notice of suspicion.
