On June 4th Taras Bezpalyy, attorney-at-law, counsel at Legal Alliance Company, took part in the free practical seminar for notaries organized in Kyiv by the Notary Chamber of Ukraine supported by the Ukrainian Bar Association.
Mr. Bezpalyy spoke about protection of rights of notaries in criminal proceedings, in particular preventive measures before and active actions during search; temporary seizure of property: what to pay attention to and procedure of realization; procedure of calling and conduct during interrogation; detention of a person: who, how, why and what to consider.
“There are a lot of cases when temporary access to documents which are notary secret is requested, and cases of search at notary premises. Unfortunately, we should admit that the majority of notaries do not know their rights in criminal proceedings and how to behave in such cases. It leads to unlawful seizure of documents, disclosure of notary secret and consequently violation of professional rights of notaries. In order not to allow the mentioned cases we organize a number of practical seminars for notaries all over Ukraine”, said Taras Bezpalyy.
All notaries, who missed the seminar in Kyiv and wish to learn about rules of protection in criminal proceedings and peculiarities of registration actions on real estate, are invited to attend the same events in Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro and Odesa. All news can be found on the website of the Notary Chamber of Ukraine.
We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our team's growth and celebrate the well-deserved career advancements of our colleagues.
