On June 18, 2014, a joint meeting of the Working Group for the preparation of regulations concerning the pharmaceutical sector of the health care industry of the Committee on healthcare of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Working Group related to the draft of a new version of the Law of Ukraine "On Medicines" of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine was held.
Within the meeting it was decided to finalize the new draft of the Law of Ukraine "On medicinal products" taking into account comments and suggestions received during the discussion of representatives of two working groups.
In addition, participants of the meeting decided to ask the Committee on healthcare of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to extend the deadline for completion of the draft of the new edition of the Law of Ukraine "On medicinal products" till August 31, 2014.
The event focused on the transformation of Ukraine's intellectual property sector on its path toward European integration.
