The constituent meeting of the Healthcare and Pharmacy Committee at the Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (UCCI), a collegial body designed to protect the rights and interests of the pharmaceutical market operators, was held on September 24, 2014.
At its first day of work the Committee attended 18 representatives of the pharmaceutical market operators. The meeting began with the election of the Chairman of the Committee, whom has become the well-known expert of the pharmaceutical market, Vladislav Strashny.
During the meeting, the First Vice-President of the UCCI Victor Yanovsky addressed the Committee, making a remark on the vast business opportunities offered by the Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine. Then the Chairman of the Committee Vladislav Strashny highlighted the aims and objectives of the Committee and stressed the special importance of his work in the current realities. The General Manager of Cegedim Lana Chubakha briefed the participants on the current issues and trends in the pharmaceutical business, challenges and prospects that await business in the near future, as well as voiced recommendations for business development within the concept of Pharma 3.0. Representatives of the companies "Morion" and "Proxima Research" Eugene Kunda and Sergey Ishchenko familiarized the participants with the current state of the market and the data of financial and analytical research on individual segments and regions. The Senior Associate of the Legal Alliance Company Alexander Maznov made a presentation on "Innovations in the legal regulation of the pharmaceutical market," highlighting the current legal problems of the market, which are successfully solved by specialized law companies.
By results of the meeting Mr. Strashny congratulated the participants on the successful commencement and introduced the plan of the Committee’s work. Participants plan to soon hold the next meeting of the Committee and to consider at it a number of issues that are the most relevant for market operators now.
