The Ministry of Health Approved Regulatory Acts Necessary for Reimbursement of Drugs for the Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes of Type Ii and Bronchial Asthma

In order to govern introduction of reimbursement and price regulation for medicinal products, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine approved the following orders:

1. Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine “On Approval of the Form of the Register of Medicinal Products subject to Reimbursement” No. 298 as of March 21^st, 2017;
2. Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine “On Amending the Procedure for Calculating Maximum Ex-Factory Prices for Medicinal Products Based on Reference Prices” No. 299 as of March 21^st. 2017;
3. Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine “On Approval of the Register of Maximum Ex-Factory Prices for Medicinal Products” No. 325 as of March 25^th, 2017;
4. Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine “On Approval of the Form of an Exemplary Contract for Reimbursement of Expenses Incurred in connection with the Release of Medicinal Products subject to Full of Partial Reimbursement” No. 326 as of March 25^th, 2017.

According to these documents, maximum ex-factory price for medicinal products approved by the Ministry of Health is calculated as the median of the median prices set in the reference countries. Appropriate calculations have already been carried out and approved by the relevant ministry.

Since participation in the reimbursement program both by the producers (owners of registration certificates) and pharmacies is voluntary, in the near future, upon the receipt of applications, the Ministry of Health will approve the Register of Medicinal Products subject to Reimbursement (compiled by the trade names of the drugs). Budget funds spending units will conclude contracts with pharmacies.
