In order to govern introduction of reimbursement and price regulation for medicinal products, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine approved the following orders:
According to these documents, maximum ex-factory price for medicinal products approved by the Ministry of Health is calculated as the median of the median prices set in the reference countries. Appropriate calculations have already been carried out and approved by the relevant ministry.
Since participation in the reimbursement program both by the producers (owners of registration certificates) and pharmacies is voluntary, in the near future, upon the receipt of applications, the Ministry of Health will approve the Register of Medicinal Products subject to Reimbursement (compiled by the trade names of the drugs). Budget funds spending units will conclude contracts with pharmacies.
