Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 1446 as of August 3rd, 2018 amended the new Register of Medicinal Products Subject to Reimbursement (hereinafter – the Register) as of July 23rd, 2018.
The last version of the Register was approved by Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 1367 as of July 23rd, 2018.
In particular, manufacturers, the price of whose drugs did not exceed 5% of the lowest price offers for a daily dose, for 5 working days from the date of promulgation of the previous version of the Register could lower the price of their medicines for full reimbursement of their cost. For this they had to apply to the Ministry with the corresponding application.
Based on the mentioned applications of pharmaceutical manufacturers the Ministry of Health of Ukraine approved the new version of the Register which includes 261 drugs, as it was on July 23rd, 2018. From the time being, the cost of 59 trade names of medicinal products (compared to 38 in its previous version) will be 100% reimbursed by the state.
Paragraph 15 of the Procedure for Determination of the Amount of Reimbursement of the Cost of Medicinal Products Subject to Reimbursement approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 152 as of March 17th, 2017 deserves special attention. According to it, pharmacies and their units may within 30 calendar days complete realization of drugs procured before the date of approval of the updated Register version (before July 23rd, 2018) specifying prices and procedures effective before the approval date.
