Vitalii Savchuk Spoke at IV All-Ukrainian School on IT and Internet Law

On September 9-10th Odessa hosted IV All-Ukrainian School on IT and Internet Law, organized by the Odessa Centre of the League of Students of the Ukrainian Bar Association. The school united about two dozen experts and one and a half hundred students from all over Ukraine.

Participants of the event actively discussed topics that the Ukrainian legislator has not yet noticed, such as artificial intelligence, blockade, legal regulation of autopilots and the like. In addition to such issues as the ability to replace the first-instance judge with a computer in the near future, participants talked about such more common problems as negotiations and contracts, NDA and NCC, as well as obstacles to innovation.

From the speech of Vitalii Savchuk, senior associate of Legal Alliance Company, who was invited to take part in the event as a speaker, the students learned about the main trends in domain names area. The participants discussed the Ukrainian and world practice on examples of Google, Michelin, Nissan and VW cases.

"Such events inspire both speakers and listeners," - Vitalii commented. - "Usually, the law faculties avoid what the Verkhovna Rada has not expressed yet, which is incorrect since the legislator adjusts to reality, and not vice versa. It is precisely these schools that make it clear what people are interested in - they are as active as possible. Furthermore, Odesa creates atmosphere: you are almost doomed to attend the lecture in a good mood and in shorts".
