Legal Alliance Company's attorneys-at-law, consisting of Associate Partner Taras Bespalyy and Attorney-at-law Maryna Mkrtycheva, appeared for the Robotics design bureau when withdrawing the seizure of property.
The Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv City is investigating a case concerning the misappropriation of funds worth about UAH 23 million. One of the former beneficiaries of the Robotics design bureau was served with a notice of suspicion. At the petition of the Prosecutor's Office the client's property was seized with a view to imposing a forfeiture of property as a type of punishment in the future.
When considering the petition for withdrawal of the seizure, the attorneys-at-law proved that the seizure was not justified, that there was no relationship between the client and the ultimate beneficiary, and the inadmissibility of imposing liability on the legal entity for the obligations of the former beneficiary.
Upon the consideration of attorneys' petition, the attachment of the company's accounts and corporate rights was completely withdrawn and the ruling is not subject to appeal.
