On August 10, 2017, the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine rendered another important decision in the complex case on destruction of a significant part of the Bykivnyanskyi forest in favor of the inhabitants of the Bykovnia settlement in Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv.
Let us remind you that the dispute arose as a result of a violation of the procedure for electing and approving the members of the conciliation commission formed to resolve acute issues that arose during public discussion of the detailed plan of the territory of Bykivnya village.
Courts of three instances have consistently canceled the order of the Kyiv Mayor No. 1 dated January 11, 2016, which approved the membership of the commission. Finally, the cassation instance has put an end to the matter, recognizing the illegitimacy of the conciliation commission and its decisions, which threatened the Bykivnya forest.
