Legal Alliance Company's Attorney-at-law, Associated Partner Taras Bezpalyy and Attorney-at-law Maryna Mkrtycheva, represented the interests of the owner of the media holding in the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC).
According to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), the media holding acquired the corporate rights to the company that owns the radio station, with the purpose of money laundering. At the same time, the law enforcement agencies during seizure said the illegal transactions may involve former high-level officials and the seizure is necessary for the purpose of forfeiture.
The attorneys' application for a waiver of seizure proved that the attachment was not justified, that there was no relation between the company and former high-level officials, and that the buying of corporate rights was lawful. Upon consideration of the application, the attachment was completely withdrawn, and the ruling was not subject to appeal.
We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our team's growth and celebrate the well-deserved career advancements of our colleagues.
