Attorneys of Legal Alliance won a dispute in the Republic of Uzbekistan on the recognition of the trademark as invalid.
The courts of the first and second instance rejected the claim on formal grounds. However, the team of attorneys managed to prove in the Supreme Court that the dispute is still subject to consideration. After the dispute was referred for reconsideration to the court of first instance, the client's rights were protected, and the opponent's trademark was declared as invalid. Along with local partners, the project was accompanied by counsel Vitalii Savchuk.
"This case is interesting not only by its decision, but also by the fact that during its course we gained experience in almost every category of procedural legislation of Uzbekistan. Having reached the Supreme Court and returned to the court of first instance, we were able not only to prove the case in court, but also to enforce the decision," Vitalii said.
