Experts of Legal Alliance Company Participated in Clinical Trials Forum II

On May 26th, 2017 Kyiv hosted II Forum "Clinical Trials in Ukraine: Prospects in the Modern world" organized by the European Business Association. The event was attended by about 400 participants, including experts in clinical research, pharmaceutical regulatory practice, government representatives, ethical committee and so on.

The purpose of the Forum was to achieve a better understanding of the prospects for the development of clinical trials in Ukraine and problems thereof, exchange of experience and information on recent developments among researchers in this area and comparison of such developments. In addition, participants had the opportunity to analyse recent changes in applicable laws, implementation by Ukraine of the recent EU legislative developments, including gradual implementation of the Regulation of Clinical Trials, as well as recent amendments to the international standard of GCP.

Legal Alliance Company at the Forum was represented by Andrii Gorbatenko, associate partner, and Natalia Spivak, associate of Pharmaceutical Regulatory practice.

Andrii Gorbatenko expressed his views on the key aspects of the event as follows: "Constantly growing demands to the procedures related to clinical trials, in particular, introduction of electronic reporting and monitoring require further harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with the EU legislation, as well as clinical databases infrastructure development".
