On September 27 a Workshop “Distribution Agreements: AMCU’s Approaches” was held in Kyiv. Andrii Gorbatenko, Legal Alliance Associated Partner, and Lidiya Sangarovskaya-Gurlach, Senior Associate, acted as speakers at the Workshop.
The event gathered the representatives of the largest international pharmaceutical companies and was supported by AIPM Ukraine (Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers) and APRaD (Association of Pharmaceutical Research and Development).
In the course of their reports the lawyers informed the pharma business representatives on main issues in the agreements that may lead to the AMCU’s claims, on the prerequisites of such “hidden pitfalls”, and on the ways to mitigate the corresponding risks.
Andrii Gorbatenko commented on the importance of this event: “Today the issue of distribution agreements became very important in light of the increased focus of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. In view of the latest developments, many pharmaceutical companies would like to understand whether they are protected and what they should be prepared for in the area of competition law”.
